MOONEYES 17th Annual Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2008 DVD

December 7, 2008 at the Pacifico in Yokohama, Japan

The biggest indoor event of its kind in Japan. One day only, a full spectrum of custom cars and bikes under one roof! The event also packs in vendor booths, scale models, kustom artwork, pinstriping and live music!

Not only does the DVD feature the full load of eye candy and cool music, but it gives you access to behind the scenes, both before and after the show plus so much more.

A special feature on this DVD includes the traditional warm-up city cruise with the special guests' show vehicles and bikes (except for Chico's LSR roadster - unfortunately burning alcohol fuel and high gearing makes it hard to cruise... and the fact he didn't bring his push truck!). Use of low-tech but highly effective (a la Moon Buggy) camera angles puts you right in the action!

Pre-show content includes visiting guests in the US in their "natural habitat" plus domestic garage and custom shop owners in Japan as they beat the deadline before the show. Featured shops include Paradise Road, Pumpkin Sally, Core Machine, Custom Deluxie, Hamans and Hide Motorcycle.

Don't miss the cameo appearance from Jason Jessee too!

On the Special Guest List (with special rides) this year:
- Jack Rudy and Beatniks C.C. - 1953 Buick Skylark "Skyscraper" built by Rick Dore, member of Beatniks C.C.

- Todd Haas and his 1957 Chevy 150 Gasser with builder Jimmy Shine (So Cal Speed Shop)

- Chico Kodama (Mooneyes) - #533 F/BFMR 2008 Bonneville Record Setter

- Max Schaaf and Jasin Phares (4Q Conditioning) - H-D Knucklehead and H-D Panhead

- Tom Foster (Crazy Fast Cracker) - H-D

- John Edwards - H-D Panhead

- Mark Drews - H-D Pan-Shovelhead

- Rico Fodrey (Hi-bond Modified) - H-D Shovelhead

- Cole Foster (Salinas Boys) - H-D Panhead

Featured live music at the show this year was the DYNOTONES. It was the first time for the event to bring a band from abroad! Also appearing was the El Caminos, Jackie and the Cedrics, as well as 4EVERS.

The pinstriping and artwork area, designated as Rat Island, featured traditional hot rods on display and tons of artists' booths including Mooneyes own Hiro "Wildman" Ishii, metalwork master Ron Covell, The Pizz, Old Gold Garage Dan Collins, Keith Weesner, Road Dog Customs Sonny Boy, M&K Makoto, Mr. G, Yoshio, an appearance by Rockin' Jelly Bean and so many others.

Having the DVD will capture all the highlights of the show and bring you extra footage not obtainable anywhere else.
